Vist Peru

                         
Easter 2015 trip to Peru. From Lima to Lake Titicaca, crossing lands of ancient traditions. We visited two of the most important centers of the Inca and Andean culture, the stunning Lake Titicaca and Cuzco, capital of the ancient empire. You can enjoy the views of the Urubamba Valley as we tour the area by train to get to the "Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu. Possibility to finish our trip flying over the enigmatic Nazca lines and relaxing on a luxury resort in the Peruvian coast.

DAY 1. SPAIN / LIMA


Departure flight to Lima. Overnight.
DAY 2 LIMA

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour in private by the historic center of the city, followed by the visit of the Museo Larco Herrera. Continue through the residential areas of the city, a symbol of modern Lima and San Isidro and Miraflores, commercial heart of the city. Free afternoon.
DAY 3. LIMA / CUSCO

                                                 Breakfast. Departure flight to Cuzco. In the afternoon, city tour and its nearby ruins.
DAY 4 CUSCO / PISAC / OLLANTAYTAMBO / SACRED VALLEY

Breakfast. Excursion to the Sacred Valley. They will visit the colorful market of Pisac. Lunch. Continue to Ollantaytambo where we visit Fortaleza. Continue to Yucay or Urubamba. Accommodation.
DAY 5. URUBAMBA / OLLANTAYTAMBO / MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast. Exit to the Ollantaytambo station. Scenic train ride through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Free afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 6 MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Breakfast. In the morning, visit Machu Picchu, the impressive "Lost City of the Incas", accompanied by a local guide. Lunch in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon return train back to Cuzco.
7. DAY CUZCO



Breakfast. Free day to walk and visit the picturesque neighborhood of San Blas or the colorful Central Market of San Pedro. Furthermore, Cuzco offers a beautiful selection of museums, restaurants and cafés.
DAY 8 CUSCO / LIMA / SPAIN

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima and connecting flight back to Spain. Overnight on board.
9. DAY SPAIN

Arrival.



Journey that takes us through all the essentials of Peru, and allows us making contact with the people and classical traditions. The colonial cities of Lima, Arequipa and Cuzco are visited, not forgetting the great lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu. Opportunity to meet the Nazca Lines.
DAY 1 Spain / Lima

Departure flight to Lima. Overnight.
Day 2 Lima

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour in private by the historic center of the city, followed by the visit Larco Herrera Museum contains a fascinating collection. Continue through the residential areas of the city such as San Isidro and Miraflores. Free afternoon.
Day 3 Lima / Arequipa

 

Breakfast. Departure flight to Arequipa, known as the "White City" for its beautiful white walls of ashlar (volcanic stone). Free afternoon.
Day 4 Arequipa

Breakfast. Free morning. In the afternoon visit the city: the Plaza de Armas; the Cathedral; Church of the Company, the oldest in the city, with mixed façade and its beautiful chapel of San Ignacio, with the most impressive multicolored murals of the region; and the famous Monastery of Santa Catalina.
Day 5 Arequipa / Juliaca / Puno

Breakfast. Morning departure flight to Juliaca. Arrival and transfer to Puno. On the way, visit to the famous "Sillustani" (high circular pre-Inca tombs of stone) near Lake Umayo.
Day 6 Puno / Lake Titicaca / Uros and Taquile

Half board. Full day excursion by boat to Taquile Island, located 36 km east of Puno. En route, visit the floating islands made of reeds by the Uros Indians, inhabitants of Lake Tititaca; Taquile Island, inhabited by more than 2,000 Quechua Indians, where visitors can see its famous handmade fabrics and antique communal lifestyle. Lunch on the island. Return to Puno.
Day 7 Puno / Cusco

Half board. Morning departure by regular tourist bus to Cusco, visiting on the way the ruins of Pucara, Raqchi with its temple of the god Viracocha, and the church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, with its beautiful chapel built by Jesuits in 1580. Lunch at route. Arrival in Cuzco.
Day 8 Cusco / Sacred Valley

Half board. Excursion to the village of Pisac located 32 km from Cuzco to enjoy shopping in the picturesque Indian market. Lunch in Urubamba. Then visit the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. Accommodation in Urubamba.
Day 9 Urubamba / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu

Half board. Exit to the Ollantaytambo station. Scenic train ride through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Free day to enjoy its natural springs or a first exploration of the citadel on your own and as an option. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 10 Machu Picchu / Cuzco

Half board. In the morning, visit Machu Picchu, the impressive "Lost City of the Incas", accompanied by a local guide. Lunch in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, return to Cuzco.
Option private visit:

Possibility to visit the ruins with a private guide, very early, before the arrival of hundreds of daily passengers coming on trains, allowing us to enjoy the ruins maximum 60 . p. / pers.
Day 11 Cuzco

Breakfast. Free morning. In the afternoon, visit Cuzco: Plaza de Armas; the Cathedral, colonial construction and Andean Baroque style; Koricancha and the nearby ruins of Kenko, important center of worship and offerings; Puka Pukara, ancient fortification; Tambomachay temple dedicated to water; and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
Day 12 Cusco / Lima / Spain

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima and connecting flight back to Spain. Overnight on board.
Day 13 Spain

Day 12 Cusco / Lima / Paracas

Breakfast. In the morning departure flight to Lima. On arrival, transfer to the station to go on regular bus to Paracas, next to the Natural Reserve of the same name where abundant marine life (sea lions, flamingos, dolphins, penguins). Accommodation.
Day 13 Paracas / Nazca / Paracas

Breakfast. Excursion to the Ballestas Islands, en route appreciating the gigantic "Paracas Candelabra". Then transfer to airport, fly 1 hour and 40 min. over the mysterious Nazca Lines, with spectacular designs.
Day 14 Paracas / Lima

Breakfast. Free time to enjoy the Peruvian coast. Departure by regular bus to Lima online.
Day 15 Lima / Spain

Breakfast. Free time until departure flight back to Spain. Overnight on board.
Day 16 Spain

Arrival.



Exploring the awesome Colca Canyon, allows us to gradually adjust to the altitude of the Andes. There contemplate the majestic condors before moving to places like Lake Titicaca, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cuzco, besides enjoying the Amazon.
Day 1 Spain / Lima



Departure flight to Lima. Overnight.
Day 2 Lima

Continue through the residential areas of the city, a symbol of modern Lima and San Isidro and Miraflores, commercial heart of the city. Free afternoon.
Day 3 Lima / Arequipa

Breakfast. In the morning departure flight to Arequipa. In the afternoon visit the "White City" with the Monasterio de Santa Catalina, Plaza de Armas, the Church of the Company and the picturesque surroundings of the city.
Day 4 Arequipa / Colca Canyon

Full board. In the morning, drive to Colca Canyon (considered among the deepest in the world). Going through Yura and Pampas de Horsemen see the Chachani and Misti coming to the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to see vicuñas and llamas. Vizcachani to save to take a "mate de coca" (Alt. 3,400 m) with a panoramic view of the Cordillera Blanca. Bordering the crater Chucura reach the Mirador de los Andes in Patapampa (Alt. 4,800 m), where you can see the volcanoes surrounding the city of Arequipa, and the Mirador de Chivay, to admire the impressive terracing and systems Collagua irrigation of time. Reduction to the town of Chivay for lunch. In the afternoon we can enjoy its hot springs. Dinner at the lodge.
Day 5 Colca Canyon / Puno

                              
                          Half board. Morning departure to the Cruz del Condor, from where you can appreciate the Colca Canyon and the flight of the Condor. In return, visit Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, and the Mirador de Choquetico, where the famous hanging pre-Inca tombs. Lunch in the village of Chivay and departure to Puno (approx 6 hours) through Lagunillas, Saint Lucia, Cabanillas and Juliaca. Arrival in Puno and transfer to hotel.
Day 6 Puno / Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquile

Half board. Full day excursion by boat to the Taquile Island. En route we visit the floating islands made of reeds by the Uros Indians, inhabitants of Lake Tititaca, the world's highest navigable lake. Lunch. Return to Puno.
Day 7 Puno / Cusco

Half board. Departure to Cuzco regular tourist bus that will allow us on the road to visit the Lithic Museum of Pucara, Raqchi with its temple to the god Viracocha and Andahuaylillas with its beautiful chapel, the "Sistine Chapel of Peru". Lunch en route.
Day 8 Cuzco

Breakfast. Free morning. In the afternoon, city tour: the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, the Sun Temple and the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambo Machay and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
Day 9 Cusco / Pisac / Ollantaytambo / Sacred Valley
                                             Half board. Today we visit the famous "Sacred Valley", in the heart of the Andes. It is market day in Pisac, a feast for the senses. Lunch and continue to Ollantaytambo. The view from the top of the fort, is breathtaking.
Day 10 Urubamba / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu

Half board. Exit to the Ollantaytambo station. Scenic train ride through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Free day to enjoy its natural springs or a first exploration of the citadel on your own and as an option. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 11 Machu Picchu / Cuzco

A journey to the heart of the Inca empire. First visited Lima, former viceregal capital, with its colonial jewels, passing Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, the cradle of the Inca culture. We follow the footsteps of explorer Hiram Bingham towards the magnificent "Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu.
Day 1 Spain / Lima

Departure flight to Lima. Overnight. We recommend visiting the DC Larcomar, ideal for shopping or dinner in a fantastic location overlooking the sea.
Day 2 Lima

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour in private by the historic center of the city, followed by the visit Larco Herrera Museum contains a fascinating collection of ceramics, silver and gold. Finally visit the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman, on the outskirts of the city, the temple of Kenko and Tambomachay ruins, also known as the "Inca Baths".
Day 4 Cusco / Pisac / Ollantaytambo / Sacred Valley

Half board. Excursion to the Sacred Valley. They will visit the colorful market of Pisac. Lunch. Continue to Ollantaytambo, populated oldest in the Americas that has not changed since Inca times. Visit the Fortress of Ollantaytambo. Continue to Yucay or Urubamba.
Day 5 Urubamba / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu

Half board. Exit to the Ollantaytambo station. Scenic train ride through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Free day to enjoy its natural springs or a first exploration of the citadel on your own and as an option. Dinner at the hotel.

Half board. Departure flight to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival, navigating the river to our comfortable lodge in the jungle. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 Puerto Maldonado

Full board. An expert naturalist guide will accompany us during the different activities of the day, teaching the secrets of the jungle. These include excursions like: walk through the jungle to see monkeys and other animals; observation of parrots and birds at dawn; and night search of alligators. Lunch and dinner at the lodge.
Day 10 Puerto Maldonado / Lima / Spain

Breakfast. Return to Puerto Maldonado to take flight to Lima via Cuzco, and connecting flight back to Spain. Overnight on board.
Day 11 Spain
